ARGUSAI Discovery Agent

ARGUS gives you a 360° view of AI usage and shadow AI across employees and AI agents. See your whole AI inventory, understand adoption and spend, and find where to cut costs and prove AI's return, with zero friction in the tools you already use.

On the approved list, 29 AI tools; ARGUS found 41, among them shadow AI and personal accounts.

See it work

One morning with ARGUS

An app nobody approved turns up. Here's what ARGUS shows your governance team, from the moment it's found to the report.

A walk through the Colchix console: an unknown transcription app is found on three devices and named by THEMIS; ARGUS rates it high risk and recommends offering Claude Enterprise; the AI policy answers that Finance can't keep using it; adoption by department and unused seats are measured; and the inventory report is exported as a PDF.

ARGUS in action

A 360° view of your AI ecosystem

Discover what's used, understand the risk and see where AI delivers value, for employees and AI agents alike.

  • 01

    ARGUS · Discover

Discover the AI you know. And the AI you don't.

A living inventory of approved tools, shadow AI, agents and AI-enabled software, personal accounts included.

An inventory of AI tools marked approved, shadow AI or personal account; new tools keep appearing, and THEMIS names an unknown desktop app in 23 milliseconds.

  • 02

    ARGUS · Measure

    Turn adoption into better investments

Compare real usage with licences and spend, to find the waste, cut costs and assess AI's return.

Adoption by department, from Engineering at 78% to Finance at 21%; 74 of 402 licences unused, and the potential savings a year.

  • 03

    ARGUS · Every way in

Go deeper than a tool list

Browser, desktop and agent activity, joined into one record of how AI is really used.

Browser, desktop and MCP each feed the same activity record: the tool, the way in, the time and the department.

  • 04

    ARGUS · Assess

    Risk intelligence, built in

Retention, account type and policy fit, explained for every tool, with the action to take.

DeepSeek, an unapproved tool at high risk: it may train on your data, it's used on personal accounts and it isn't approved for work; ARGUS recommends restricting it and offering Claude Enterprise.

  • 05

    ARGUS · Check

    Your policy meets reality

Upload or draft your AI policy, ask it questions and see where usage breaks it.

The AI policy against observed usage: 12 tools compliant, 7 used but not allowed, 4 not in the policy; asked whether Sales can use Perplexity, it answers not yet, and names the approved alternative.

  • 06

    ARGUS · Exposure

    See exposure without exposing conversations

Sensitive-data signals and the tools they touch, without anyone's prompts on screen.

31 exposure signals in 30 days: personal data, credentials and financial data, by tool, the latest coming in, the prompts hidden.

  • 07

    ARGUS · Share

Keep a trace. Share the findings.

Every observed AI activity, approved or not, from every connected source, ready to export.

An activity log of tools, times, departments and events, exported as a PDF report; connected to browsers, desktops, SSO, cloud storage and collaboration tools.

Ask ARGUS where you already work

Type @Colchix in Claude or ChatGPT: which unapproved tools were used today, who uses your licences, what to do next.

A chat in Claude: someone asks @Colchix which unapproved AI tools were used today, and ARGUS answers with Perplexity, DeepSeek and Gemini.

The risks of AI blind spots

What you don't see can cost you.

  • 01

Your AI inventory misses the real picture

Personal accounts, unapproved tools and the AI inside your software stay outside your official list.

The official inventory lists three approved tools; beside it, outside the list, ChatGPT and Gemini on personal accounts and two unapproved tools turn up.

  • 02

Your policy says one thing. Usage says another.

Approved tools sit unused while employees and agents rely on alternatives nobody has reviewed.

The policy approves Microsoft Copilot, used by 18% of the organization; in practice ChatGPT is used by 62%, Claude by 34% and Notion AI by 21%.

  • 03

You're paying for AI nobody uses

Unused licences and overlapping subscriptions waste budget, while adoption gaps go unnoticed.

Twenty licences bought, six people using them: fourteen seats unused, across three overlapping team subscriptions.

  • 04

You can't tell which AI investments pay off

Without adoption and usage evidence, it's hard to judge internal AI projects, justify the spend and decide what to scale.

An internal AI project, a customer insights agent, with three questions nobody can answer: adoption, value and whether to scale it.

Blind spots become risks, wasted spend and missed opportunities.

  • A row of empty marble seats in an ancient theatre, one of them in green marble.

    Wasted spend

ARGUS FAQs

Your questions about ARGUS, answered.

What is ARGUS and what does it discover?

ARGUS is Colchix's AI Discovery Agent, giving organizations a 360° view of AI usage across employees and AI agents. It brings approved tools, shadow AI and AI-enabled software into a living inventory. By connecting discovery with usage, adoption and risk insights, ARGUS shows you what is being used and where to act.

Can ARGUS discover AI used through personal or unapproved accounts?

Yes. ARGUS goes beyond your official list of approved AI tools, revealing usage through personal accounts and unapproved applications. Across supported browsers, desktop environments and connected sources, it brings what it observes into your inventory, so you can find the blind spots and review how each tool fits your policy.

Does ARGUS collect or store employee prompts?

No. ARGUS works from usage metadata, without collecting or storing prompt content. Its inventory and activity views show the tool detected, the way in, the time and the approval status. Organizations understand their AI adoption while employees' conversations stay out of the governance dashboard.

Do employees need to change how they work?

No. Employees keep using the AI tools and LLMs they already work with. Once the Colchix agent and browser extension are installed, ARGUS works in the background, with no separate workspace and no manual reporting. Your teams carry on as usual while governance teams gain visibility, with zero friction.

Can ARGUS help optimize AI spend and measure adoption?

Yes. ARGUS compares actual AI adoption with the licences you've bought and what they cost, to find unused seats, overlapping tools and ways to cut waste. It also shows whether internal AI initiatives reach the people they were built for. Together with your business outcome data, these insights support your AI investment and ROI decisions.

How does ARGUS turn an AI policy into action?

ARGUS sets your AI policy against observed activity, showing where usage follows your rules and where it needs review. Start from your existing policy or draft one, then assess each tool against it. Risk insights and recommended actions turn the policy document into everyday governance decisions.

How is ARGUS different from an AI inventory built with surveys or spreadsheets?

Surveys and spreadsheets capture what people report at one moment. ARGUS builds a living inventory from observed AI usage, surfacing tools and activity that may never appear in a questionnaire. Governance teams get a current picture, with far less manual work to keep the inventory up to date.

How is ARGUS different from discovery based only on SSO or OAuth?

SSO and OAuth integrations show the company accounts connected to them, but can miss personal accounts, desktop applications and other ways AI gets in. ARGUS combines supported browser and desktop observations with connected data sources to close those gaps, so you see AI usage beyond the centrally managed accounts.

What is THEMIS?

THEMIS is Colchix's System One² AI model, the judgement under ARGUS, TALOS and ATHENA. For ARGUS, it names the AI tools nobody has heard of: an unknown desktop app becomes "AI · Transcription" in milliseconds, before anyone opens a ticket. It decides on your rules.
